    Can A Life Coach Get You To Your Set Goals Quicker?

    How To Become A Life Coach | Life Coach, Life Coaching, Personal Development | Tuesday, April 8th, 2008

    We all want the edge, the edge in business, the edge in our lives, and the edge in everything we do. For many the edge is focusing on there business, and leaving it at that. However, this is what everyone does, and it does not guarantee success.

    People get in business, work and work. They learn in business, and many believe that there own knowledge and merits will guarantee success. Though it may, this is the root of many business failures - the ‘I don’t need teaching mentality’.

    Take a look at athletes. I am amazed by athletes, these are dedicated people. Now consider Olympic athletes. Whether an Olympian or an athlete with high aspirations, they all have coaches to coach them.

    A coach is essential in 2 big areas. The first is that the coach, coaches many people so they get to see different ways of working, and find better solutions throughout different industries and life areas. The second is probably the best and relates to the first, that being that they are out of the box.

    While you are in your day to day life, in your day to day business, a life coach is impartial. They have a view of your business and life in a different light. Yes, you may have problems; in fact the life coach probably had those same problems in the past or at least encountered them before.

    This can be great news for you, because if you have been one of those dedicated to getting the edge in business and life, you may have set goals, and are working to achieve them. A life coach can give you suggestions and offer advice that can help you get there.

    Life coaching is pretty much a new career industry. Ten, twenty years ago the word life coach would have seemed strange. There were only a handful, and they were and are helping the people who wanted to have the edge and those that have the edge.

    Now, if you have a small business, you may think that life coaching is one which only the Bill Gates of the world can afford, however this is not the case. Today there are many new life coaches getting into the profession, and are dedicated to helping you get to where you want.

    You may have heard of big life coaches such as Anthony Robbins, commanding $1million in fees, however there are less costly ways to invest in yourself and get some life coaching. There are people less well known who can help you.

    Another option is books and seminars. Books can help you expand on your skills and learn what you need at that time. Though obviously this is a more time consuming method than hiring a life coach.

    Seminars though generally needing more of an investment can offer some great benefits which books can not provide. You get to network and meet others that want to achieve lofty goals, and also get a taste of a winning atmosphere. This motivation can help you go full speed to your goals.

    Some life coaches run seminars, so getting life coaching from them often gives you free entry into the seminars. There are many benefits in getting life coaching, and whatever your budget, you can move forward to your goals in no time.

    Getting From Setting Goals To Goal Achievement

    How To Become A Life Coach | Personal Development | Tuesday, April 8th, 2008

    Sometimes we often think that goal setting is the only thing necessary to do, to achieve a goal. We hear of all the goal setting products, and wonder which work. Some do, however, this is not the only ingredients needed to achieve a set goal.

    A look at the stats and you will see that about 7% of people goal set. Now this is not the kind of goal setting exercise you perform at New Year. You know those goal setting practices. Say your resolution to friends and family. In comes the New Year, and before February the set goal and any hope of its achievement is forgotten like the hangover!

    Resolving to be different and learning about goal setting and how to set goals effectively will not necessarily help. Your first findings with how to set goals may show you to write them down. And this is a great way to start, but it does not determine the results you will get.

    Achieving goals needs a few other ingredients than just writing them down. Getting from goal setting to achieving your desires is a process that can take time. If we take a look at those 7% of people who ever set goals, you will find that 2-3% actually achieve there goals. And 1% only ever achieves financial freedom, the kind that we often dream about.

    Perhaps a different approach is needed. If we consider that the percentages of the goal setters are a 100% figure, then we can conclude that 50-60% of people achieve a goal they set.

    You can curb that gap, and get into that 2-3% or even that top 1%, which with the new thinking is actually a 10% chance of succeeding at achieving the goal you set. Now this is the science part of goal setting.

    And taking this further than just science to the art of achievement would be topics such as looking into your mindset, your beliefs, and your self image. Another is affirmations and visualizations, not to mention how you structure your goals.

    I have seen many goal setting systems over the years. Most of the ‘how to set goals’ products never really do that, they just give you the big picture. This leaves having to look for all the pieces of the puzzle. Though each part can come together to help you with setting goals which ultimately turn to reality.

    Together with these personal development goal setting products, an action orientated mindset is required. Simply writing down your goals takes you a long way from the simple New Years resolution, it helps you focus.

    Secrets To The Greatest Shortcuts To Success

    How To Become A Life Coach | Life Coach, Personal Development | Monday, March 31st, 2008

    Whether you want to become a life coach, you are a life coach or you just love personal development, this post is essential for you. We can all benefit from the merits that this post offers. I hope that it will help guide you to a more fuller and fulfilling future.

    Why is it some people can succeed in such a period of time, while others work for decades and never even touch on that kind of results? What do they do that is so different from what you do?

    * You Need A Mentor!
    We can learn a lot from Olympic athletes. Here we have the true successful. Out of all the people on the Earth, we have a select few who had a vision, and are living that vision. Inspiring all, they are good examples to consider.

    Every Olympic athlete has 2 important things in there lives. That is a mentor and or coach, and a team. These are a powerful combination and when applied in your life, you will prosper, and your business will prosper.

    * The Life Coach
    For many people who are achieving big results, we find a life coach somewhere influencing and guiding them to achieve those results. A life coach or mentor is crucial in this process of shortcutting to success, because they know the shortcuts. As Bob Proctor says, learners inherit the Earth, while the learned find themselves beautifully equipped to deal with a world that no longer exists.

    Its true, if you think of for example computers, technology, IT, you will find that if you stop learning, within a few short years, possibly even months or weeks, you will find your skill set is of no use! Many industries are going through major shuffling work, as the learners indeed do inherit the good jobs, while those that keep there existing skill set find that they are outdated like old machinery!

    Imagine an athlete without a coach, so why would people do that in the business world. After all a business and success is like a marathon, just without the finish line! A life coach can help you in many ways. Because they have access to so many different successful people, they learn constantly what can make you achieve success in the shortest time possible.

    * More Ways To Be Mentored And Life Coached
    At this point, you may be thinking that you need to pay tens of thousands of dollars to enlist the help of a life coach. This is not necessarily true. Yes, the best life coaches in the world may ask for huge amounts of money to coach you. However, you can also find good coaches who don’t need such a large investment.

    There is also a major way to master the information you need to succeed, and that is through tape products, and books, and seminars. These combined make practical ways of success possible. The books can be read in your spare time. The tape products can be used with your car to make what Brian Tracy terms a University on Wheels!

    The books are a low investment model, which allows you to constantly learn what is essential to take your business and your life to the next level. The tapes on occasion needing much more of an investment, however still within most budgets - allow you to learn while you doing other things. And the seminars can be a practical way of imbedding the information to allow you to move forward.
